Tracey McGrath: Woman of Distinction

Congratulations to Tracey McGrath, Woman of Distinction!

May 8, 2017

Congratulations to our very own, remarkable Tracey McGrath on being honoured with a Woman of Distinction Award in the Community Category!! We are truly grateful for all of her hard work, dedication and heart she puts into her work as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at Bracelet of Hope.

Tracey McGrath is a financial advisor who walks with her clients through complicated financial challenges, offering not just financial advice but personal support as well. She wants to see families get back on sturdy ground and become financially independent.

Tracey is a Community Champion.

She approaches her volunteer work with the same passion and philosophy. As Vice Chair of Bracelet of Hope, Tracey was integral in developing the Business to Business program that links businesses in Guelph with businesses in Lesotho, Africa for mentorship and training opportunities, with a goal to becoming financially independent. The AIDS epidemic has been devastating in Lesotho and while medical treatment is becoming available to its citizens, the social structure remains fragile. Bracelet of Hope is a Guelph charity that lends support to projects in Lesotho that tackle the housing and education crisis for children orphaned by AIDS. It also assists women in learning farming and trades, best business practices, and developing programs that become self-sustaining.

Tracey is also a mentor with the Rhyze Academy of Guelph where she works with women entrepreneurs. As a member of the Rotary Club of Guelph, she’s involved with projects that teach business skills to high school students as well as international projects in Africa.

Congratulations Tracey!
